How to keep useful pet health observations
24 October 2026 · PetVitals product guide · English adaptation: 28 October 2026
Choose a diary
PetVitals has ready-to-use behaviour, digestive health and weight diaries. Start with what you want to record. Discuss which observations matter for your situation with your vet or another relevant professional.
Record specific observations
Instead of “a bad day”, record what you noticed: appetite, sleep, activity or the number of episodes. The ready-made diaries have separate fields for these observations.
Add context
Use a comment to record a diet change or an unusual event. Describe what happened in your own words rather than replacing observations with a suspected diagnosis.
Create your own tracker
If the existing fields are not enough, add your own. You can use yes/no answers, multiple-choice options, counters and text notes. Each pet can have their own set.
Look back at your records
Browse diary entries by day or choose a date range for export. A clear sequence of observations can help you prepare for a conversation with a professional.
